STEPHEN FRY IN AMERICA WINS BRITISH NATIONAL AWARD FOR BEST TRAVEL DOCUMENTARY


Picture of Stephen Fry picking up best documentary for Stephen Fry in America, which includes a feature on NYC with me driving Stephen in a yellow cab and giving him a tour of some more colorful, lesser known areas.

The awards were given at this year's British National Television Awards.

The first award was presented by outgoing Doctor Who David Tennant for Best Star Travel Documentary as voted for by the public. Stephen won for his BBC1 programme Stephen Fry in America - which documented is travels throughout all fifty states, including New York.

He was then surprised later in the evening with a Special Recognition Award. Tributes came from the Prince of Wales, Alan Davies, Hugh Laurie, Jo Brand and Daniel Radcliffe. As he approached the podium he quipped "OMFG".
